My rad drain plug is leaking. For replacement, is it as simple as pulling the old one off and putting the new on one with as little coolant spill as possible?
My brother replaced the brake fluid diverter last year and I just got around to re mounting it. My question is, there was a piece of hose attached to this barb looking thing. What's it for? I can't find anything in my Chiltons about it.
I haven't seen any fluids come out...
(having issues with picture displaying, let me know if you can't see it)
Not working for me either. Are you talking about the brake line T on top of the rear diff.? If so, the hose is the axle breather and the end should be fixed in a clip just below the bed.
Yes, that is the rear axle vent. Should be a lenght of flexible pipe on it with anti dirt vent on the end of it. It should be long enough to reach a clip just below the bed. It is fixed high up to prevent water/dirt entering the axle lube through the vent. You should be able to make something up. Just make sure you don`t block the end of the pipe or you will get leaking axle seals.
My drain plug on the rad is leaking, it's not a normal looking plug to me so what I'm wondering is, is replacement just a simple take the old one out and a new one in??
