i would say no problems your just a casual collector of fine ford parts. i find myself keeping every nut bolt and screw off all the older cars i drag home. over the last few years ive drug in a 14 x 60 mobile home thats full of parts built a 15 x 24 paint booth that is full of parts with just enough room to park a small car in and then built a 28x36 2 story barn and still have a buddys 60x100 barn collecting my crap and still i find myself trying to find a 6+ bay shop to buy for storage.

and no i dont have a hording problem i just like my car parts.

Horder? Nope we are just doing our very best to leave no shelf space un-fulfilled.... Shelf space is a terrible thing to waste!

The other day my wife said I was like Richard Gere in the movie "Pretty Woman". Instead of buying companies and taking them apart for proffit, she said I do the same thing to Ford trucks.
I countered with " I only sell what my fellow Ford addicts need". I keep the rest for myself cause you just never know when you might need something.

LOL, you gotta wonder what the nut and bolt thing is about don't you. I'm the same way.

I am the same way, especially for the small parts and fasteners. You never know when you'll need something, so I keep nearly all fasteners from anything I take to the recycler. I try to never go to the hardware store for stuff.

One thing that's a bummer in my current situation though, I only have a 1/2 acre plot and don't have any room to store anything. I do still have a hood, doors, inner fenders, and lots of misc metal for fabrication. I keep it all in a small fenced in corner of my yard so it doesn't look bad. Back when I was building my truck, I had a whole acre and had various parts trucks, beds, etc. around. I think my neighbors were glad when I finally cleaned things up and sold off my stuff. Too bad for me though, I didn't really know the value of some of it then and let it go too cheaply.

I'm hoping to sell my current house this year with hopes of finding a nice 5+ acre parcel to build on and have a barn/shop.

I think hoarding sets in when you don't know what you have, have 'many' multiples of everything, don't need anything you have, or can't find anything when you need it.

Got to say...my wife thinks I am an over zealous enthusiasts, as well as most of the town folk that drive by and see the 4 dentsides lined up out front...BUT those that truly know who just say I am f@$#in' crazy.... beyond hoarding... 'cuz I have about 6-8 additional dentsides stored elsewhere...and I feel your pain about the nut/bolt and fasteners...amazing how they are used in other applications....my neighbor is always coming over and what he terms as 'borrowing'..which ain't so...nuts/bolts for his 70 mach1

in addition to the 'rolling' parts bins/aka...trucks I have a 24' enclosed trailer and a 14 x 24 ft garage full

My wife was really getting on me. I have several boxes loaded in the garage, but the bad part was the back yard. I was really piling up the parts on the side of the garage and then started piling up more stuff on the other side of the house. If you stood back it looked like Sanford & Son.

Of course with a privacy fence nobody could see it from the street, but I felt bad.

Ebay and Craigslist it started to go. Sadly a couple things were scrapped, but all in all I cleaned things up well and I beleive I have almost all my Dentside stuff gone.

And that was just the 73-79 truck parts. Now I have to work on my motorcycle crap... ugh!

Depends on your age and your intentions. The older I get the more of a clearer picture I get of just what is necessary for me to keep. I figure If it's not likely that I'm ever going to use something why not pass it on to someone who needs it and will appriciate getting it for his truck. The worst thing that could happen is you die and the person getting rid of your stuff has no idea what it is or what it's worth and ends up just throwing it all in the trash.

funny that you say that.....I have 3 f/e d60's that my wife says are junk and if I was to pass ...she would call the local scrap guy to pick them up along w/ the 69 GTO convertible, she said she would sell for $50...a few of my "FRIENDS" have said that they would gladly give her the $50 now and wait for the call...got to love friends, but there are those that would assist her w/ getting fair value for the rolling stock/complete trucks and cars
