Aluminum Trim

I believe I have been beat. My original grill, headlight shrouds, and trim around my taillights are original aluminum trim. The trim is dull and cloudy. I cannot get it to clean up at all. I have tried nano polishes, 2000 grit sand-paper, aircraft aluminum paint stripper, Mag-Brite, greased lightening and epoxy thinner. I figured one of these would surely shine my aluminum up. I would guess that it is anodized. At first I thought it was clear coated and that was what was giving it the cloudy look. But I cant get this stuff to shine up to a new looking quality to save my life. I cleaned the stuff a few times a week for a couple months and no improvement at all. any suggestions or am I gonna have to just buy new stuff?
