Price of diesel is no longer controlled by the US market. It has become the fuel of choice worldwide and is in high demand. It is controlled by emerging, third world, developing countries. I doubt you or I will ever see diesel cheaper than gasoline again.

I agree with Marchare^^, I doubt diesel will be cheaper than gas ever again. The whole diesel price scale is a racket. They government will raise diesel prices only to have all the over the road drivers bump up their delivery fees and add surcharges to their loads...and who pays for all this "extra" surcharge...the consumer. We pay it back in groceries, clothes, products etc... it just sucks for us running a diesel vehicle for personal use. Wish I could apply a surcharge for my miles driven! I too remember diesel being 20-30 cents cheaper per gallon than the cheapest grade gas. Oh, the good ol days.
