And then remember when Obama decided to auction off 30M barrels of strategic petroleum reserve last July? That was because "administration officials said the move was essential to restore stability to the market and offset the loss of 1.5 million barrels a day of high-quality light, sweet crude from Libya during the summer driving season."
So guess who bought 1.5M barrels? JP Morgan. JP Morgan as in the bank JP Morgan. Barclays Bank only bought 100,000 barrels.
And what is JP Morgan going to do with their 1.5M barrels? Well, they aren't going to rush it to their non-existent refinery and sell it at their non-existent JP Gas Stations to restore price stability. No. They get to take delivery whenever they see fit and we all know when that will be.
So that's how you restore stability and end speculating: sell the strategic reserve to the fecking banksters.

Not really even comparison. But I would still hate to get fuel there.

3.84??? I'd be filling every extra tank I have.....4.29 to 4.39 here 
...I think I'm too close to Canada Ehh......Seriously the shortage in Canada could be affecting Northern Minnesota as well, who knows wheret he pipe comes from.....
This is crazy, it did hit $4.59 last winter though if I recall right, but gas wasn't selling for $3.31 a gallon when diesel was that high though...WTH is really going on...diesel shortage, home heating oil season, and what else???
. Time to start driving the wife's car to work for a while I guess....

It's getting worse here. Drove around Spruce Grove looking for diesel yesterday (small town maybe 10 stations). Only one had diesel at all and they only had 1,000 litre! 2 trucks in front of me and 2 behind, they will be out by now.

You diesel guys are getting screwed, its only 4.09 here in Detroit area but gas is down to 3.09. Wow $1 more per gallon, hope u really need ur diesel or just dont care about how much u spend on gas. But i would never stop driving my truck just because how much it cost. If i cant afford the fuel then i cant afford the truck.

Yes we are getting screwed and nobody cares b/c "gas" prices are low.
Oh well. Its the cost of ownership, but the guys who need these trucks to put food on the table are getting screwed.
