If you are speaking of the old "Poly-Choke", yes, you can shoot slugs through that choke 'system', but, have the choke set on either "Cyl" (Cylinder) or "IC" (Improved Choke) or "Mod" (Modified).
Never. . . . . NEVER run a slug (or even shot) through a barrel without a choketube in place, for 'screw-in' choke tubes.
That is one of the fastest ways to destroy the threads and barrel.
(The barrel would have to be cut behind the bashed up threads and re-threaded for chokes. About $125-$300!
yes you can,and you can buy slugs for smooth bore barrels,but you get way more accuracy when you use a rifled barrel and a slug made for rifled barrels.
