Hi all, I am new to this Forum and could use some help. I have a 2000 F550 2WD with the 7.3 Diesel engine. There is no factory steering stabilizer on this vehicle and I would like to add one. In looking at lots of websites and making several calls to manufactures (like Ranchero, Sky Jacker, Tuff Country, ect) it would appear that a steering stabilizer kit does not exist for this vehicle. So I ask you all, do you know of a manufacture that would have one, or do you know how I could get one? Single shock would be just fine as my tire size is factory.

Ford probably has just what you're looking for------stabilizers were part of the ambulances and such for most chassis. Maybe try your local stealership to see what's available?
Thanks JWA, The Ambulance was just the link / pointer I was looking for. I recalled seeing an old Ambulance at junk yard and went by to have a look and low and behold there was a steering stabilizer attached. A little negotiating and it was mine. I took it home and it was a bolt on perfect fit. I will order a new “replacement” shock and will be good as new.

Hey Tommy------glad that worked out! You can get the shock from either Ford or NAPA has the same part for about half dealer list. I'm told they're both made by Monroe, different color is all.
