engine swap

Hi everyone, new to this forum but could sure use your help. years ago bought 1987 f 250 4 x 4 6.9 diesel from my brother. My first diesel!!! ran it out of oil , siezed it up, and has sat for years. recently bought 86 or 87 2wd f250 diesel to replace the motor. my problem is my 4 x 4 is a manual trans and my replacement motor is an automatic, still sitting in truck. am wondering if this will be a direct swap? most concerned that automatic crank will not be drilled for pilot bushing for clutch. does anyone know if all 6.9 cranks are drilled for clutches? any help will be immensely appreciated!!! thanks in advance for any help, Mark

They're all drilled for pilot bearings. The new motor should bolt into the original's place.
