Stewart's right about not getting a 50/50 mix. If you drain the coolant plugs in the block there will be about 1 gallon of water left in the block. So if you are using the 50/50 mix you'll use about 7 gallons. That is about 3.5 of concentrate to 4.5 gallons of water. That would be a 44/56 mix. Not sure if this would cause any problems in Hawaii. I don't think it gets that cold there. Just want to make sure the anti corrosion properties are good with your mix.

If you mess with the drain plug by the starter I would disconnect the batteries so you don't get a 4th of July show. Don't ask how I know.

It should be easy to tell if it's the mix. On the front label it should say it's mixed and also says not to add water.

No, purified water is typically water pushed through a filter. Distilled water is water that has been boiled and then re-condensed in a clean container, much better at getting impurities out and will be far less likely to leave deposits.

Avatar. Aviators fly fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft.

It's a joke, not a tribute.

There was a thread recently where the guy got made fun of (again) and some pictures were photoshopped.

If I could use ELC in my E99 I'd do it in a second. I was having to maintain that Ford additive stuff every six months or so. I can't complain too much, the Fleet Charge I use now has been good, usually lasts for a year before needing charging, but I flush it yearly anyway.

Add it when the indicator strips say to unless the directions have changed since last I knew.

Or just use an ELC and you'll never have to touch it again. That's what I opted for. Running Caterpillar ELC in mine.

I check it monthly, but it was usually around the 6 month mark mine would need charging according to the test strips I got from International.

I believe you have given some confusing information here, some possibly erroneous.

Would you please spell it out a little more clearly and specifically.

If "doush" is a word, what does it mean?
