Morning all, I changed the plugs, cap and rotor in my truck last night and the plugs I took out were noticeably shorter than the ones it called for. I started it right back up and no issues but it does have me wondering. My truck is a 95 F150 with the loveable 4.9 auto. Any thoughts on why and or what the old to new plugs would do.
What I installed: Autolite 5125
What I took out: Valley Forge 14
I had also never heard of Valley Forge spark plugs.
I went and saw I worded my post wrong, The Valley Forge plugs I took out were much shorter, like about 1/4" just bye visual. Would there be a reason for that?

My guess would be someone installed the wrong plug, they were probably very cheap and the installer said "for this price I will make it work"
Valley Forge is one of those part brands that tune and lube shops keep in stock, they are more of a "it'll fit" kinda part. Another brand like that is Mighty.

I'm sure that those plugs are just fine, but Ford sold that brand name to Honeywell who also markets Fram filters. Motorcraft parts are what I try to buy, if I have deep pockets that day
