Long threaded spark plugs
Hey All:
Went to purchase spark plugs today, and what I found is that the auto stores have a AGSF 22 MW What I took out was the AWSF 22 E.
the 22E plugs had about 8 to 10 threads on them where the 22MW had 12 to14 it was quite a bit diffrent.
Called the auto store and they said that's the right plug.
I looked around and found in the owners manual. IT said to use the 22 E.
So I returned them. " they didn't like it much - last time I do business with them"
anyway I was afraid to put the longer threaded plugs in my truck.
it's a 2000 250 SD V10.
does anyone have any experance with this issue ?
Thanks

use genuine Ford motorcraft plugs in your engine...
these mod motors dont like aftermarket plugs.

SPARK PLUGS
Ford has replaced the AWSF 1/2 threaded series of plugs with the AGSF full threaded series of plugs. Other than the 1/2 versus the full thread, there is no difference. The plugs are the same length.
All other suppliers of spark plugs did this years ago. If your original plugs were AWSF22, the replacements will be AGSF22. The suffix (charachters after the 22) just denote the electrode type and may not match between the AWSF and AGSF series, but they will fit and work properly.

"You get what you pay for"?
Although in this site's case, you sometimes get what you pay for, but most times you actually get a LOT more than you pay for!
