Hey everyone i am wanting to put a leveling kit on my 2005 f350 i like the one from readylift because it comes with shock extensions i have heard that sometimes these will screw up the whole geometry of the front end i have a very limted knoweledge of the front end workings i was wondering if I needed to install the 200 dollar recommended track bar bracket i run stock 275s i would just like to get alittle of that front end sag out. But i dont want to do it if its going to wear out my tires like crazy or hurt my truck.
If im not mistaken the only diff with a 250 and 350 is leaf springs and coil springs and extras, both have solid front axles which with a lift you wont need to worry about camber, only the toe in/out but the only way you can get the toe to affect your tires is if you do a ridicules lift and dont add a drop pitman arm. on a leveling kit your good. I lifted my Jeep 5 and a half inches and left the stock pitman arm on and it never hurt a thing.
the reason for the trac bar bracket wont affect tire wear it is to center the axle under the truck. your trac bar goes from the frame on one side to the axle on the oppostie side. so theoretically when you drop the axle it will pull the axle towards the side where the trac bar mounts to your frame. they also have adjustible trac bars for this. to be honest i doubt you will need it. not with a leveling kit at least. for a lift 4 inches or more you will def need it.
hope that helps
