First off thanks for all the usefull info I find on this forum. I am a lurker normally.

Can anyone tell me how easy or hard it is to change? I have read a lot about the symptoms and it sounds like my 01 X needs a new OSS. The one on the top back of the transmission, from what I have read.

I have the check engine light on, blinking OD light, feels like it’s missing. My buddy hooked up his scanner and said P0120, but apparently he read it wrong, since I cant find that code. It must have been P0720

Are there any tricks to changing this? Can you just reach up with a wrench and unscrew/bolt the sensor?

Any pics or a video or just basic direction would be great.

I’m fairly handy, but over the years you learn there always a trick.

I cant seem to find the info on how to actually change/replace one.

 

Does anyone know the part number for the OSS?
Napa is not sure they have a match. They have several, but needed a part number for a match.

I had to get mine from Ford. T swap out you have to remove the cross member and lower the tranny to get to the back top.

 

Check out post number 8 & 9 before you change the sensor.
