I have read numerous posts about How To.
726-48-02 I changed the 1 to a 0 and no joy, however I noticed the last (3) number are 178 not 179 and was unable to change it to 179 Anyone have a solution? The vehicle is a
2017 F150 Lariat with Sync 3
Current setting is 726-48-02 x0xx xxxx 0178 When I changed the 1 to a zero (0) I noticed that the last three (3) number read 0178 and not 0179 as in other posts about the change. It took the change from 1 to 0 (verified) without any problem but always reverted back to the 0178 when I tried to change it to 0179. I don't know if changing that number is significant. With that being said the change from 1 to 0 didn't seem to make any difference in the Auto S/S or have any other effect on the vehicle that I am aware of.

Thanks again,

OK - No you can't change that number because its a Checksum. Forscan will change that number when you make a change any of the settings in a given line item.
Now on to the No Joy issue. Are you sure you did a write all before quitting ?
I'm not sure I did a write all. I know I hit write to the right of the setting line. I did verify that it was an 0 and not a 1 a couple of times. Something seems a little peculiar, I'm getting no sign that the Auto S/S is off i.e. no off light at switch or in the instrument cluster. I drove the truck a good part of the day, stop and go and the engine never shut off? I'm going to drive it for a few days to see what happens and I will let you if the Auto S/S is really off? Appreciate all your help.

I believe you are good to go if it doesn't shut off in normal driving + at the right TEMP ! There should be a greyed-out Icon of "No start stop" in your message area (Lower right - But depends since you have a Lariat, vs my XLT). The light on the switch will NOT be on indicating that
"start/stop" is off.
First let me thank you for all you help and guidance. It appears that the Auto S/S has in fact been turned off. What a great surprise that the off light does not light. Now that I'm a (scanner/programmer) LOL I'm going to attempt to do the folding mirrors. I will keep you posted.
