What part is missing

Hey guys I'm pulling # 6 injector and have accessories off but now see a hole in the drivers side valve cover with no part in it what go's there? Does it have to do with CCV?

2003 crew,4x4,6.0L,auto,K&N air filter

Is this a cover up from last owner?

Or does it have something to do with the K&N vs stock air intake?

Its the CCV if its about 1 inch hole driver side valve cover is it missing the elbow in the intake to valve cover

the stock setup air filter is the best sounds like somone changed it out and not in a good way might have to go see what you can get from the junkyard

Yes just a hole. What does the elbow connect to? What negative affects has it possibly been causing?

Here, look at the second picture. It's #9 in the shot.

The third picture is a better shot.

Its kinda a Z shape tube that goes from valve cover to plastic intake parts coming from the Air filter housing to the cold side of the turbo

The problem is the Air intake is sucking Dirt right there into the turbo the valve cover side may or may not have positive pressure

I dont know of any pics to help you I know them pics are worth a 1000 words but if I come acrooss one I will post up

the other inlet of the CCV is on the bottom of the plastic Air intake

Sorry guys was a false alarm but I did learn from it.

I went to garage and checked parts, I didn't realize that it came out still attached to the K&N top (lid) and I only saw the open hole.

Thanx again to you guys for your replies, info and research.
