She's Sold!
Much thanks for all the help, excellent debate and off the wall comments during the days of Bronco World ownership.
We parted last week. Sold to an older gentleman who own 350 acres in Arkansas- she'll be garage kept, fed with all the best liquids and maintained.
Final tally was 271,450 miles as original owner. Never a day of real trouble.
We moved onto a 2011 F-150 XLT 4x4- So, I'll just be a few forum away.
Continued success to all the Bronco owners and would be's.. it's worth the ride

271k miles? Original owner? how dare you! that was like sending your old faithful 16 year old dog off to a farm to live out the last few days of his life.
Enjoy your new truck, maybe every couple of months you can drive by your old Bronco and honk, showing it how much fun you're having in your brand new truck.
:P

Funny- Yeah, I didn't want to get in an accident or experience major mechanical failure - rather remember her the way she was- top notch!
BTW (spoiler alert- animal lovers beware) I saw my Wiemaraner of 14 years decay and die over a 6month period- with her to the end- not a pretty site.
For those curious- this was a rust free Bronco- $3,600 cash sold price
Cheers

You got $3600 for a truck with almost 300k on it?
Wow.

Yup- I wanted $4100- which I knew I would never get but that was the way to prevent me from actually "selling".
What's the saying: Question:"What's that truck worth?" Answer: "What someone is willing to pay."

Sorry for being insensitive .. I was sad when I got rid of my 1980 Bronco. Even though I was sorta of joking, I do get a bit emotional about getting rid of a car. If you're anything like me, I bet it wasn't easy letting go something you had personally put 271,000 miles on.

Well, we knew this day was coming so I was prepared for it...I thought until I noticed a gaping hole in the garage- no more Bronco.
It is a daily aspect of my life for last 16 years so , yes, it does actually remind me that life goes quickly. so Drive a Ford!!!!
