my 03 7.3. Pulled over to the side of the road and installed my "spare" CPS. No start, no tach
FYI: 2002 and 2003 will not show tach movement while cranking.
I have this exact same problem...I can drive the truck for days and she is fine... Then out of no where she quits...strange thing is if I open the fuel drain on the filter she may start...but if she sits for an hour or so she starts fine and may run good for whoever knows how long and then without any warning quits again... I have changed everything even taken the tank out to check fuel lines as well as putting on a new lift pump... All sensors are replaced I am down now to thinking may be HPOP but they are expensive and want ideas before that..
I am a diesel mechanic and have never experienced anything like this... All help is appreciated PLEASE
Hannah, this is a very old thread. You should start a new one. My memory is failing me at the moment but I think that the ICP sensor is heat sensitive when going bad.
