Remote start reprogram

I thought that I had seen a thread about getting the remote start reprogrammed in the 2010 models. I did a search and could not locate an answer.
If I remember correctly, this feature could be reprogrammed to stay running once the door was opened. My 2010 F-150 will shut down the motor when the door is opened.
The 2009's will stay running.

Talking with a service rep at my local dealer, she stated that it is a safety feature and the dealer will not reprogram.

Was there a service bulliten written? If so, an idea on the SB number?

maybe you didn't search the right keywords, it has been discussed before. It just requires a simple programming change for the rmst system. I posted links to the program files here:

Anyone know if the new 2012 F150 remote starters shut the engine off if you open the door? I expect to get my new 2012 F150 4x4 Platinum with Ecoboost I ordered in about two weeks and did not know if I need to start researching how to program it to stay running. Thanks for your input

^no the new ones don't shut off when opening the door. this issue only applied to 2010 trucks.

My engine keeps on running when I open the door, but if for example I have it set to high defrost, when I put the key in the defrost stops, then restarts again. Seems like it is transferring control from the remote start system to the "vehicle is running with a key" system, and this switch takes a few seconds to stop, think and restart the fan.
Is this normal? I have the remote start behavior menu set to "last setting" so why does it have to stop and restart the fan when the key goes in I wonder??

The manual does mention that when you start the truck with a key after remote start everything reverts back to the way it was when you last turned the key off. The heated/AC seats, heated mirrors and rear defrost and other items must be turned back on after starting with key.

Hope I explained clear enough. Sounds like that is normal. I get my truck end of this week or begining of next week since tomorrow is the build day. After that I could speak from hands on experience.
