If I hammer the big dents out of my bed floor, will I regret using fiberglass on the rest of the dents to make it look really good ? are there any better choices?
Unless you are going for a show truck, or a true restoration, I'd through a bedliner in there and be done with it. If you get a name brand that's for your year and model, it will look great. In the mean time you may run across a bed in decent shape that you can work on at your leisure and swap it out when it's ready. Just an idea.
You could go with a spray in/roll on liner? they are kinda thick coatings and may fill the small dent's to you satisfaction? if you get a good rough finish it may hide pretty well?
Check too see what coatings are the thickest and go from there!
I flipped my bed over and used an air hammer. I found a 'chisel' attachment for mine that was pretty much just the shank. It helped me get even the smallest dimples out. Certainly not show quality, but good enough for my needs. Good luck -
