Oil temp

Could someone help me? I finally checked my oil temp and coolant temp and they are 230deg 180deg. Is it time to change oil cooler? And if so (roughly) how long does it take to change the cooler? Thank you in advance.

With that kinda spread being you have a square EGR cooler Im surprised the truck hasnt popped the egr cooler being an 06

I did mine this spring and spread it out over 4 days oil cooler & Full sinister egr deleate

Try parts guy ed for the stock parts you will need 215.00 for a stock oil cooler core

your thermistate is also alittle cool but changing that alone wont bring a 50* spread together

do you have a coolant filter on it yet

No, I don't have a coolant filter. If I was to add one would I put it inline in the heater core lines?

yes tye it in before the heater supply valve and then the kits you buy go to the smallest return lines to th coolant bottle

you will also want to give it a thuro flushing before you change the oil cooler core out

Yes. As blade said. Do a restore an a VC-9 flush before you change the oil cooler. An I would do a bulletproof EGR cooler while I'm there. An then add a coolant filter as soon as possible.

How did you deleate the egr???????

some methods of EGR deleate still let the egr cooler heat SOAK and can rupture

But if it a Full EGR Deleate the spread is not as big of deal but still Does Apply

I had a constant 25-30* ECT VS EOT spread when I cut the cooler open it was 90% plugged

If I was you Id be for changing the oil cooler soon you dont want a oil cooler to burst what a mess
