AC Pully Locked up...How to replace?

AC Pully Locked up...How to replace?
Last night my 2004 F250 6.0 broke the belt. Upon inspection I found the pully on the AC unit not able to spin. I confirmed the clutch plate did spin. I can't find any instructions on removal and replacement. If I can't get it done myself, I will have to have it towed to a shop on Monday. Can anyone describe the steps of replacement and also in the event I have to send it to a shop, what I should expect to pay for the repair?

better off replacing the compressor as a complete assmebly. odds are its locked up. you need to evac the system and check the orface tube for metal.
to remove you can pull the fan and stator, rmove the ground from the engine block and remove the 3 bolts that hold the compressor on to the engine.
cost for repair of an a/c system is hard to guess at not knowing what all is broken. Ill toss a guess though $1500-2200 depending on what you need.

Fixed and working great!

Glad you found the problem and are back up and running. It is hard to diagnose a vehicle when it is not in your possession, so we try and help as much as possible.
