Door chime when key is removed from ignition

I just picked up a 99 F-250 last weekend and I noticed that when the key is removed completly from the ignition and the door is open the chime rings all the time, if I wiggle the ignition switch without the key in it it will stop until you bump the steering column or key switch. Do I just need to replace the tumbler set or is there something else wrong? It dives me nuts when I am trying to work on stuff in side the cab.

The ignition switch itself where you put the key in has a switch in there that makes when the key is in and should open when you remove the key. The ignition switch comes out real easy I know I replaced the one on my 01 F-250. I do not remember the process exactly but if you do a search on here you will find it. Once you get the ignition switch out then you will see the small switch I am talking about that controls those chimes. You can then aleast test the switch itself or check the wiring.
