Finally done! One more question

06 F350 with 200k miles on it. Just did a EGR block off and oil cooler. Did the dummy plugs and stc fitting, and IPR . Running Rotella antifreeze and a coolant filter kit. Truck runs perfect 4-8 degree difference. Even towing a load. But not towing a load I run about 175-180 coolant temp. Is it because I blocked off the EGR or should I replace the thermostat or call it good enough?

I may get a custom tune later....

I am happy with her now....

sounds like your thermostat is opeing to early. with or without the EGR cooler you should see the same water temps

luckily they are only about $25 max

That seems a little low. Even with this cooler weather I'm still running at 186-190 degrees

X'S 3 you need a thermo for sure those are to low , it is stuck open. motor will run better in the 190 to 195 range.

x4 need a t-stat. Mine did the same thing 178-185 replaced it, now 190-194 empty 198-210 towing
