On a stock 1966 F100 Rim....whats the max tire size you can use...without rubbing? I plan on running wider tires in the rear and 235/75 r15 in the front. Just would like to fill the wheel well up a bit...nothing too extreme.
Thanks
Chris
Just picked up a set of 4 265/75/r15 brand new for a 100 Bucks....you think i will have any rubbing on the front? Going to stick them on the stock rims
I'm running 275/60-15 on the rear on 8" rims with 3.5" backspace. They fill it out real well. 225/70-15 up front - no power steering and wider tires make it more difficult to turn.
You really should use wider rims with wider tires to be safe. All four of my old rims were 6" I don't know if that's correct or stock but they were Ford rims.
A day at the salvage yard can get you wider rims. That's where I got my rears. They cost me $30.00.
