I am beginning a 76 restoration with my boys. The guy I bought it from has 79 steering parts in a box for it and said he was going to swap from the 76 to the 79. Any reason for this and is it something I should do or keep whats on the truck?
2WD?, 4WD?, F150?, F250? I'm guessing a 76 4WD. If so, the 78-79 system has fewer parts, fewer moving parts, and less prone to bumpsteer. I did the linkage and PS swap to my 73 using a 79 Bronco.
