i found a 95 f150 centurian 4door short box 4x4 it has the 351 and pushbutton 4x4 very little rust and it shows 127000 miles. my question is where these originally a supercab lenghened or what is the story on them. the owner said that ford didnt make a crewcab until 2001 but ive owned a couple crew cab duelly pickups werent them ford built crewcabs or were they a centurian conversion also? also the pickup only came out with the rear tank and its a 19 gallon it never had dual tanks was that a normal thing. hes asking 3500$ im wondering are these pickups of a higher value or not
Ford has built crew cabs since the 70's at least. The Centurions are usually an F2/350 with a bronco rear fabbed on. Least that's the common one I'm thinking of. you have a picture?

Centurion built 4-door Broncos but they also built crewcab F-150's. If you look under it, you will see the welds in the frame where they lengthened it to accommodate the crewcab. That truck started life as a regular cab shortbed 4x4, so there is no second tank. The tiny gas tank in that truck is its biggest downfall. Centurion added the metal to the frame, and dropped a Ford crewcab body on top of it.
Ford has made crewcabs since the 50's or 60's. However, they didn't make half-ton crewcabs until 2001.
They're a relatively rare truck, so there isn't a lot of sales data on them. Like anything else, they're worth what someone is willing to pay. I would probably give him 2500-3000 and be happy.
And the first thing I'd do would be to fix the fuel tank with either a Bronco tank or some kind of aux tank.

By a 4 door short box I will assume you mean it is a 4 door short bed PICKUP other wise you would of said 4 door bronco.
For Never offered a 4 door short bed F150 till 97. But conversion companies HACKED them together before ford offered on. By HACKED together. I mean just that. They took a reg cab and welded a back half of a crew cab too it. instead of just getting a crewcab to begin with. They are prone to rotting right where they sectioned them together.
As for the just rear tank, the second tank was an option. In the truck you are looking at, it must have not been added.
As for value. they are worth more than your regular cab truck, just like a supercab is worth more than a reg cab. But they are far form a VALUABLE truck. 3500 sound fair
yes its the pickup and not the bronco. i love the looks of it. i will get some pics of it tommorrow and try and get them up. i looked underneath and do not see any frame splice in the front or back and the cab was undercoated so i dont see a splice their either. i bought a crewcab just the cab from a 96 f350 the cab is complete inside and out, i only gave 300 for it and have plans of putting it on my 92 supercab frame and then modifying the bed so its really short. but if this centurian runs as good as he says i hope to pic it up for 3000 or less.
Brad are you sure they made a crewcab instead of getting one from Ford? It sounds like an awful lot of work to make one when they can buy one.
Yup. There are HORROR stories of how they rot at the seam. I believe it was done so they didnt have to swap cabs and have to get a new vin number. But stupid
