When im idleing my rpms will begin to jump up and down even when im driving at low speeds which tends to give you whiplash! RPMs go up my and truck jumps forward! I have no idea whats going on, when im driving at higher speeds it still does it but not nearly as bad. Oh and it has done this before, quit doing it and months later will do it again!
It could be throttle pedal related. The throttle is controlled by a potentionometer and if yours is acting up it could cause that. The other thing to look at is the ICP sensor. Make sure there is no oil in the connection. Oil causes the signal to get fouled up and that can cause the throttle to be inconsistant.
Probably not. Most of the codes are manufacturer specific, and require a good scanner to pull. A repair shop would be the place to go, or if someone near you has an AE scanner, they can pull them for you. Last resort is your local dealer.
Sounds like you are 99% there. You need a new sensor. The light will stay on with the sensor unplugged. Like said before, you can drive the vehicle without doing any damage with the sensor unplugged. You just won't get optimal fueling. Sensors range from about $55 to $150 depending on where you go. Check e-bay if you trust them...just look for good seller reviews.
