Trying to figure another probem. I discovered my ignition key could be pulled out while truck was running! Is this supposed to happen? I dont remember be able to do this before?

The lock is worn and the only solution is to replace it. Often this happens to those that have massive key rings with a lot of weight on them. When driving, the constant weight and swinging motion wears out the lock.
I have the same issue with my '94 Mark VIII and it is not a real problem as that way I can leave it locked while it's running to keep it cool or warm if I need to be out of it for a minute or two.
I wish my Navigator would do the same.
Changing the lock(s) can get a bit pricey if you buy the lock(s) from Ford with the cost of parts, installation and programming. To continue to only have 1 key you will need to replace the door lock at the same time.
Wish my truck would do that. This used to be a standard feature in Jeep CJ's back in the 70's to mid 80's. I beleive it was called an offroad ignition switch. Was made so you could take the keys out while wheeling, rather than having them slapping against the sheetmetal dash.
