Those are some funny ones there. 
So I am done with the Tuesday mail.
Here its been raining for days and then this evening the sun came out and I swear the grass grew like crazy. Here look I took a video of it---

Boy but I sure dont want to hit any of those Cow patties with the push mower.

And therein lies the rub!!
What is an "honest" rep point??
Is it one given to a woman because she's posted in a thread?
Is it one given to a person to whom you agree with a posted political opinion?
Is it one given to a person because he/she has posted a funny one-liner/joke/comment?
Is it one given to a person for good tech?
Is it one given to a person because it's fun to give reps and the system IS NOT set up to only give reps for tech help????
If, and only IF, the system was set up so points are ONLY given for good tech, then the system is woefully flawed.
IF there is an expectation of an "honor system" to ONLY give reps for tech posts, then I say that honor system was broken years ago, when GNAC/FTE Club Forum reps were being given and accrued.
So, I ask you (you being whomever decides to read this post) what is an HONEST rep???
If points/greenies should ONLY be accrued for tech posts, then I (and anyone like me who has accrued all their greenies through tech posts in tech forums) have the biggest gripe about these "fun, free reps" we have at our disposal.
How does a person earn a rep? YOU CAN"T!
You can't earn a rep because if a person can, then I'll show you pages and pages of threads and posts where people didn't get a single rep for the help they've given.
Am I tired of the rep party? Yeah, actually I am. I was trying to figure out a way to bow out without making you guys think I was condescending or had a change of heart.
My fellow moderator, John (PS72) has already bowed out. And if you look at his track record, you already know he's been so busy he's gone days and days without posting or hitting with reps because yeah, he really is THAT busy.
But ever since The Midnight Repper was born, there is a renewed fun-ness for me. And while I too was going to bow out, I think I'm gonna stick around for a little longer. If for nothing else but to keep the word "red" or "neg rep" from being bandied about!
One last thing and I'll get off of my soapbox. I have it set up so that along with these "fun reps" I give, I also give out rep points for tech posts in the forums I moderate, as well as the 7.3L PSD forum where I hang out. I even give rep points to my fellow Mods, Super Mods, and Admins for the help they give to other Mods, Super Mods, and regular users. I do that because reps are fun to give, and fun to get. But if ANYONE doesn't want me to rep them again because I don't share your way of thinking, or feel the way you do when it comes to rep points, please PM me. I do NOT want to offend anyone. That's not sarcasm either, for anyone reading. I don't wanna ruffle feathers, and if you feel my repping you means less because I give reps for reasons you do not agree with, I would rather know, than have you dislike the fact I'm repping you.
