From a IMM's standpoint...............Metric does not bother me much anymore.
I just use my metric crescent wrench.

For really precise work, I have a 24" "calibrated crescent wrench".

trying to work on my old truck had me in fits cause i couldnt get anything, standard or metric to fit any nut....finally after rounding off all the corners on every dang nut and bolt on the truck....i finally compared them to another set and realized they were all cutt wrong..nothin fit..all too big or too small..thats the last time i buy the cheap stuff at lowes.

Okay...speaking of metric...

On my wife's mini cooper...to change the oil filter I needed a 36 mm socket...yes that's right a 36MM SOCKET...do you have any idea how BIG a 36MM SOCKET is...LOL...

But it is in the tool box for those oil changes...sure beats spending the money to pay someone to do the oil change!!!
