I'm looking for some advise on new tires for my 2008 F250 4x4. I have pirelle str tires on it at the moment. I'm looking for a good all season tire, that is quiet and gets better tread life that the pirelle's gave. (37k) I do 99% precent of my driving on pavement although I do live in northern wisconsin so snow is an issue. Thanks for you help
I live near Appleton, WI. I just purchased a set of BFG T/A KO P285/75R17 for my '07. I upsized to a 285 to fill out the wheel wells a little more. (Stock was 265/70R17).
They tires are fairly quiet, rated for severe snow. I expect at east 50k out of them, based on reports from other SD owners.
I just picked up the Destination A/T for my Expy. It's similar weight to a gasser F-250. They are a quiet tire, ride is sorta rough compared to the STR though. The sidewall is much stiffer. Tread pattern is very aggressive and I haven't had any traction problems yet.
BTW, the Destination A/T is the #1 tire in the A/T category. IMO there is a reason for that
