Was reading a thread started by RRranch about new leaf springs, now i wanted to know if any one has installed a set of 43-498HD's (three leaf set) on their 250 4x4. I have the 43-498 two leaf pack on my truck and i still only have at best a couple of inches clearance between the leaf spring and the bumpstop. Mainly wondering if there ae any ill affects from going this route. on a 250, since i've read that the leaf springs twist a little cause of the ttb set up.
Unless your running a heavy front bumper / winch or something along those lines the three leaf spring isn't worth the trouble. You would need a drop bracket for the D50 to get it aligned. But if you have enough weight to allow a decent alignment I would go that route. If you have two inches to the stop thats pretty normal.
Would the three leaf pack really lift it that much? Another question would there be any difference between the HD springs and say adding a add-a-leaf to the springs I have? In the end I want to level out the truck and have a little more wheel travel, the heavy bumper o have makes it bottom out in some rough roads.
