Engine bay cleaning

What's the best / safest way to clean up the engine bay ? Can you use a pressure washer is there any parts you need to wrap or avoid ? What product is good ? Basically how do you do it ?

Air hose and then wipe it down with a rag and soapy water. If your real crazy afterwards wipe it down again with armorall.

Do NOT use a pressure washer......be careful where you direct spray even using a standard house water hose....
