Cleaning the engine bay?
The '97 I just bought needs a bath under the hood.......Bad! I know not to pressure wash the engine. It's not so much greasy or oily as it is muddy. Would some degreaser in a spray bottle and water hose be ok?

That's how I do mine, Simple Green or Purple Power in a spray bottle and then hose it off with the garden hose.

No not yet, but I also try to keep all the connections coated with dielectric grease to keep the water out.

Is that pretty good stuff Mike? We use Blue Wolfe at work. It's ok I guess, but seems like it could be better. They got some other stuff too, can't remember what it's called, but it's about the same. They're both free though!
I'm gonna do what Rodney said, get all the connectors coated good with die elec grease before I wash it.

I have only used simple green. It looks great afterwards. I will also look at the ZEP product.
