spindle locking bolt
well i am finally going to put on disc brakes on my 55 f100. can someone tell me on the locking spindle bolts. which way do you knock out these bolts? do you hit it on the flat side or on the threaded side. i assume on the flat side is where you hit it to knock it out. the bolt didnt budge so i sprayed liquid wrench. and decided to ask before i go and destroy the bolt. thanks for all the information you can give give me.

The threads are for the nut to pull the tapered (wedge) locking bolt into the hole. So you knock on the threaded end to push it out. Leave the nut flush with the top of the threads so you don't bugger them (but you may want to buy spares just in case).
