I'm planning on doing the high idle mod on my 04 f350, I looked through the tech page and found the wires. What's the best button/switch to use and does anyone have a picture of the connections? Just toi make sure I got the mod right you take the two wires and connect the to the switch/button and when you press the said button/switch it will energize the wire and make the idle go to 1300 or there abouts. Does someone have pictures of there truck with and special wiring?
I put these in for my extras. I used the diagram you found. These switches are LED. They have three wire posts. The post behind the LED goes to ground. I got the switches off the counter at my local parts house. Carling, or Keepitcleanwiring.com have a wide selection.
Wow, that's a sweet install! Looks like they belong there.
Thanks, the first hole was the hardest to do! There are some built in plastic supports under there a person needs to be aware of. Or you might cut into them and render the placement of the switch impossible. I took painters tape to measure a few times.
One next to steering column is the high idle, next one is for my heated mirrors, number 3 is for my back-up lights, #4, on the far left is waiting for the next thing, what ever that will be.
By what I've read with the high idle mode, before you switch is on it stays at normal idle, then you switch the mod switch and it revs up to 1300 rpm, once you hit the service break the idle goes back to normal. When you get parked and put the transmission in park/parking break on after a few moments the idle will go back to 1300 unless you flip the switch off. Is that the best of what I've read or am I missing something.

Correct. ^^^^^^^ I turn mine off. Once the engine is warmed up, I use it when I need it.
And the engine has it's own high idle that comes on after a couple minutes at certain temps. It takes it up to about 850 rpm. After it reaches a certain temp it shuts off and wont come on the rest of the day.
