M135 Diff assembly
Hello, I'm just in the process of restarting a project I started almost 20 years ago as a teenager. I have a 49 M135, and I had taken the rear diff apart and am looking for assembly/gear setup instructions. I at least had the brains to store all the parts in oil, and am going to replace all bearings, etc. It is the split type rear end. Thanks...Tyler.

Randys Ring and Pinion out of Washington state has written a how to book on almost every automotive rear end. It has great assembly instructions and pictures. I used it on my first rear end and it came out fine.

For those that don't know, the Canadian Merc M135 equates with the US F-5 model. Another good source of axle service information would be an old Motors manual. These show up on eBay all the time.
