my truck will not start, the hpop resavoir was empty when I checked it ,Ive got fuel,but the check engine light came on when it died on the side of the road. I used my superchips programer to diagnost the check engine light ,it pulled 3 codes here they are 1280 ICPcicuit out of range P0198 EOT sensor circuit high input , P0 603internal control module error KAM error now is my ICP bad and need replaced or did my PCM go bad causing these other 2 codes and some how right before it died on the road it ICP sucked the resavoir dry to the injectors ,this causing the thick black smoak? then it died ! more history I changed the cps right on the side of the road ,didnt help! the tach moves while turning over the wait to start light comes on just like it always has , no white smoke while turning over and it turns over good just will not fire! thats why I need help interpreting exactly what the codes r telling me , almost forgot the last mod I did was install a six position chip I ran it for 2 months ,loved it to,I dont think thats the problem but Ill take it off if its the place to start! any sugestions would be very much appreciated!year of the truck is a 1997 psd auto trans. like it matters but a 4x4 !thats alll the history I can think off.Thanks in advance

I'm sure your pcm is ok, try unplugging the icp, filling the resevoir, and starting it. Possible you have a sticky ipr. 0603 is generally from unhooking the batteries is all.

I would remove the chip just to rule that out. A loose chip can cause the stall and the extended cranking could have caused the empty reservoir and codes. At least that's a best case scenario. Don't forget to pull the key out of the ignition while removing the chip.

thanks for the advice , I removed the 6 position chip still no start . Short of feeling stupid I looked in the abreviations at the beginning of this forum and found abreviations for everything but the ICP and the IPR I could not find what they are or where they are located so if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate ,I went ahead and filled the resavor with oil still no start so I would like to unplug the ICP but like I said I dont know where it is located!

just found definitions for the ICP and the IPR still dont where its located but I just remembered I installed a bb in the fpr I think thats what its called ,but it ran fine really couldnt tell any difference , could that have messed with the ipr in some way?

No, that wouldn't mess with the ipr any. That's for fuel pressure, not oil. Here is a pic of the ipr and icp and other things. Ask any questions you want and don't worry about feeling stupid, we are all here to learn.
