4.0 SOHC injector spacers/bushings?

I'm helping a buddy with an '01 Ranger 4x4, the timing chain guides fell apart and since this is a daily-driver truck it seemed like a good idea to just buy a reman engine with a warranty and drop it in. Well old engine is out and returned as a core, new engine is in and almost ready to go, except we ran into a big issue - the factory injectors we're trying to reuse are very loose in the ports in the new heads, it looks like the new ports are bored over 1/8" too large so the injector o-rings don't come even close to sealing to the port walls. At first we thought there's some other set of injectors that must be used with these heads, since the heads are '02 castings we figured maybe injectors changed for the '02 models, but after getting a set of those from the local parts store it turns out they are 1/2" longer than what we have but are not any fatter in the bottom end, so they are loose in the head ports too. Then my buddy found these picture on ebay:

You'll notice that of the three injectors one has some sort of a spacer bushing on the bottom end, here's a better picture of it:

Now that could explain the loose fit of the old injectors in the new heads - if the old heads had those spacer bushings or whatever and they remained stuck in the heads and therefore left with the rest of the engine when we returned it as core. Question is, where do we get those spacer bushings? Parts stores only list regular injector o-rings, nothing like what's shown in those pics... We'd try the Ford dealer, but what the heck do we ask the parts counter guy for, what's that part called? Anyone ran into this mess before?

Oh, and while I'm at it, does anyone know the torque spec for the bolt retaining the knock sensor on top of the engine block under the intake? Can't seem to find that info anywhere... Thanks!

No one else had the fun of dealing with this before? By the way, I just double-checked, and both the heads and the injectors have 1L2E main codes (passenger-side is 1L2E-6049, driver-side is 1L2E-6050, and all injectors are 1L2E-B5A injectors), not sure if this piece of information helps clarify the situation any...

I can't believe nobody replied to this. Those things are injector insulators or something, mine stayed in the head when I pulled them. I found this because I am googling where to find them to replace them, lol. I read somewhere that they crack or something.

Did either of you come up with these? If so, where did you get them?

Thanks,
Jeremy
