Gasket Replacement Project

Well I finally got tired of all my oil leaks on my truck making little dots all over my driveway and I think 305K miles is gonna be a good time to start replacing some things on the truck. My goal is to replace the Valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, and the entire oil cooler + gaskets/ O-rings. I have pics below of now and i will keep updating as I move along. Any other gaskets should I look into replacing? Front and Rear Main Seals are ok.

fyi, dont try to take the pass side off without removing alternator/fuel filter...it wont come off. believe it or not I had similar oil coverage as you and it was all my valve covers...either way good luck, it does look like you might need to replace the oil pan gasket...

Not true! The procedure is to unbolt the passenger side motor mount and raise the engine a few inches until you can get it out.

However, you might be right in removing the alternator and fuel filter, that might be easier *shrug*

I'm serious, thats what I found when I did mine shortly after buying my truck.
I want to say its straight out of a service manual. For trucks with AC, the fan box sticks way out and gets in the way of the valve cover.

Should work good then because he would have to lift it anyway to reseal the oil pan

Well the valve covers are off. Yes the passenger side one is a bitch to get off with the space given to me but not hard to do at all. Ran out of sunlight so Im gonna start again in the morning and by then i should be able to do the oil pan gasket and put the new oil cooler gaskets and O-ring in hopefuly.

you'r right about the alternator and fuel filter bracket needing to come off. from what i found when i did my valve cover gaskets it is physically impossible to get the valve cover off/out with the alt and fuel filter bracket on.
