Not fun. I took a drill and the biggest bit I could fit between the bushing sleeve and the outer ring and drilled out holes unitil there wasn't much rubber left. Then I got a thick flathead screwdriver and worked out chunks of rubber until I could pull the sleeves out with my vice grips. Once the sleeve is out just get angry with the rest of the bushing and it will come. Then I cut the out ring out with the sawzall and pried it out with the screwdriver. Get several screwdrivers and several drillbits. I think it is Jim's page that I got that info from. Good luck...
I looked it up on google and found several people that heat the eye up really good with a propane torch till the rubber starts to melt, then beat it out with a bit socket and a hammer.
Or try to pry the spring eye open a little with big screwdrivers and then beat it out.
I saw some that said to try drilling the rubber out too.
Bolt, washer that will just clear the spring eye, piece of pipe with id just larger than spring eye id, big washer and nut. Apply impact. Pull bushing into pipe. Done.
Have access to a press? I'm going to pull my springs and use a hydraulic press with a metal plug just about the same size and push them out of the spring. I need to replace the spring brackets as well so that'll give me a little more room.

Good plan, but I don't have an impact and getting all that stuff together might take a lot of time.

I like that plan. Seems like it would work pretty well.

Going with poly or the rubber bushings?
I don't have access to a press, unfortunately. I'm going to go with poly bushings. They're cheaper than rubber, last longer, and I don't really care if it rides a bit rougher.
My poly bushings are no rougher than worn out old rubber ones if thats any encouragement to ya. I greased the crap out of them so they dont squeak either
thin blade on air chisel driven in the split opens the eye, use new bushing to press out old bushing with 25 ton press. takes longer to remove the spring than to change the bushings.
