Tire Recommendations
First thing, I'm new in restoring trucks, but like it.
I've got an '82 Bronco with, I believe, 15x8 wheels. Can first someone tell me if it's correct.
What's the biggest tire size I can put on those without lift ?
I wanted to have 33x12.5 15 instead of the 31x10.5 15 I have now.
About the lifts, can I put a 3'' body lift from Summit or anywhere else with doing anything else ? Or do I have to change the springs, ... ?
Thanks for your help.

Those French pigs will get what they deserve (i.e.-> Us not giving them more money when they have some stupid national crisis) We need to ask for our money back!
and just to make sure this stays on subject....
I have small tires and I want 33's... how does everyone feel about Procomp?
Most tire manufacturers recommend at least an 8" wide rim for 12.5" wide tires. As to whether 33x12.50's will fit under the truck in stock form, I don't know. But adding 3" of lift either body or suspension I would think should let them swing very nicely under your 82. Again, not certain as to the width of your rims. But I think they should be 15x8". The 15x7.5" were on later models as I recall.
A body lift will not require ANY suspension modifications. Body lifts simply push the body up away from the frame. The suspension can remain stock if you want.
Marc, 33X12.50's may or may not fit with the stock suspension. I had them on my '85 with the stock setup (except wheels), and they were fine. They would just barely rub on the radius arms at full turn, but that was not a big deal. I think a lot depends on the individual truck, and how much the thing has settled over the years. As far as the wheels go, most manufacturers don't recommend putting a 12.5" wide tire on anything less than an 8.5" wide wheel. Yes, they will probably work just fine on an 8" wheel, and even seem to fit OK an a 7.5", but you risk having the tire break off the bead if you're doing any serious off-roading. Plus, having any tire on a wheel that's too narrow will cause the tire to wear unevenly.
Anywho, just givin ya hard time. Sarcasm doesnt come across to well in a forum like this....
Peace...
