Flexible tranny oil hose leak

Flexible tranny oil hose leak
So I have been getting this tranny fluid burning smell when I drive. I pretty much have it figured out that after it warms up it leaks where the aluminum lines go to rubber. No drips or leaks anywhere else. So the clamps on those lines are like crimped. Do i need to replace them with that same kind of line? Can I remove them and replace with reg tranny hose line and clamps? Also how do I remove the crimped looking clamps. I do believe the aluminum line is flared at the end and I don't want to bugger it up. Thanks

If you're considering doing a this work yourself, you intend to save some money. It's obvious you also wish to do this job with safety and reliability in mind.
If you're going to work on your truck, you should be investing a bit of that "saved" money back into the proper tools to do the job.
In this case, even a cheap tubing cutter and double-flaring tool (consider somewhere like Harbor Freight) are tools you will need. You'll always find a place to use them again, so just go out and get them.
A double-flare at the end of the tubing will keep the hose from slipping off, and give you peace of mind. What's THAT worth to you?
BTW, be sure to get the proper-size hose that's specifically rated for transmission and power steering fluids. It's a temperature thing......
