I have a early 03 6.0 I have been checking eBay and around trying to find motorcraft injector or core to have on hand. I calle the local ford dealer to check there price against Tousley's and the were alittle higher but to get to the point and question: he did not ask for a vin number. But said he keeps the injectors instock I ask him about the 2 diffrent part numbers and he said he don't know but he has the injectors? So what is the difference in the 2 parts? I am speaking of the part # 3C3Z-9E527-ECRM and. 4C3Z-9E527-BRM
Weldworks i just put an injector in my 03 and it was part num. 3c3z9e527ecrm . I had to pay 260 but needed it and couldn't wait on mail . Oh and that injector worked great and they did not ask for a vin either.
I believe that they have the diamond like coating (and the other doesn't) - which would be desireable. I think both parts have the revised clevis (that was a very early change). That being said, they intermix without issue (contrary to Ford's position on it - at least in the early days).
I've seen alot of the remanned "new version" ones on eBay for pretty cheap but I didn't know if they would interchange with the old version. Tousley ask for build date is the reason for the question Wulfman I have also had to replace one in a hurry and bought it from a parts house that i want name I paid. 280 for it but they had it and I needed it So would you buy the later version or stay with the older version? Thanks for the help
I always figured if I had to get an Injector for my 03 I would try and get the newer one that has the coating on the injector plunger It should outlive the other older style
You can use newer injectors on the 03's to my knowledge but not the other way around. Also something to remember you get what you pay for. Since i need my diesel to last I'll buy quality parts and not risk using ebay stuff.

And the reason you use paypal. I bought a whole set of Motorcraft injectors on ebay for $1250 shipped to the house. They are marked with a reman number from Ford and it's easy to distinguish.
