I have the steering wheel off and just removed and rebuilt the PS box..bolted it all back up fill with fluid and when I went to fire it - nothing. it rolls over and I can hear the fuel pump. I did blow a fuse when working on the column but thats been replaced.. did I blow a fusable link? does the steering wheel need to be on? help this sucks

- Ok I have confirmed he van has spark and will run with gas being sprayed down the intake. Is there a fusable link or fuse controlling the fuel pumps that I might have blown ? thanks

Check online for a wiring schematic or your van's fuse and relay blocks. Typically these would be mapped out in something like the Ford EVTM publications and would direct you to the right position quickly.

I'm not familiar with that year van--can't help much past this. IF you do your own repairs you can find various Ford OEM or dealership manuals on eBay Motors.

Sorry I can't help specifically!

Found the problem..I broke a corroded wire in a main connector under the master cyl, exactly where I was shoving my arm when removing the PS gear..makes sense now. thanks for the replies

What did the wire control or lead to?

Glad it wasn't anything more complex or expensive than this!

Found it by tracing the + Black/pink wire up from the high press fuel pump. Ya I've put a lot of work into the van already, didn't need another big fix to do..want to start driving it!

Good catch------having a schematic handy makes things a lot easier!

Enjoy the ride----you've earned it by now---and post some photos!
