Not likely a bad oil cooler. More than likely a sensor that is a little off. How are you checking your temps? After the truck sits and gets a good cold soak, do the water and oil temps agree with each other?

Run truck on interstate or good fast highway for about 20 miles..... then check it while running on level ground at 65mph.

If you water temp doesn't get to OVER 185, you need a new thermostat.

Ok guys i changed my Thermostat today and rerouted the coolant filter hose to the front of the Heater valve, after changing the thermostat and watching the truck warm up, the water temp was 190 and the oil temp was 190, just ideling, havent drove the truck yet, so far so good, the onl thing left to do is change the screen on the IPR, thats next, but the truck for now is starting fine... does anyone know where to get the screen for less than $ 54.10 from ford???

The new one you got didn't have a screen on it?

IPR screen: 3C3Z-9H529-A

Check TousleyFordParts.com if you have time to wait for it.

I didnt replace the IPR just ordered the screen, after looking at the IPR for about 20 min it looks like there is not much that can go wrong with the IPR itself????? dont know but the truck starts fine at the moment so i will just change the screen for now. I also have the remote start on the truck and it starts fine everytime when i hit the button, its not to bad to pull out (with the right wrench)

The IPR is a high pressure relief valve - with small openings. It can plug up and it can fail. Driving without the screen can allow it to be damaged more easily. Maybe you have gotten lucky and you will have no issues, but I don't think you can tell any of this from an external inspection.

Glad it is starting fine now.
