Turbo Problems

So i cleaned my turbo, all mechanical parts were in good working order and re assembled it with no issues. It ran fine for a while then started turbo farting off and on. So today i put in a brand new VGT solenoid and it doesnt stutter or fart as bad but still does it occasionally. So i towed today and it was a lot worse when i was towing. It does it sometimes when your on the throttle or letting off. Took the trailer off and drove the crap out of it unloaded for 60 miles and didnt have any problems. Any ideas what it could be?

2004 F-350 6spd 4x4

Thanks!

Wade

The veins in the turbo are stuck why thats the BIG???

Do you have any gauges what kinda Boost# are you seeing

have you checked your MAP sensor and hose
not shure if your truck uses EBP sensor but you may try cleaning it and the tube

Scan for Codes???

I assume it did this before you cleaned it???

The vanes arent stuck, i cleaned the turbo and it really wasnt dirty. I have gauges and im seeing normal boost levels. There are no patterns to the issue that i can see. No codes either. MAP or MAF sensor?

Thanks

OK let me reword it the turbo veins are in the wrong spot maybe not stuck

you need to check the MAP sensor and EBP sensor
map is on passenger side bt the A/C box it has the rubber tube going to it off the intake manafold

EBP is the one thats on the driver side exhaust manafold clean the sensor and tube
start with the map sensor first cuz Im not shure if your year even uses EBP

You need to check BARO, MAP, and EBP sensor values to see if they're within .5 psi of each other. Also is your motor an 03 or 04--production date before 9/22/03 would be an 03 motor--after an 04 motor. Or ICP on passenger side valve cover an 04 motor. If you have the throttle plate it's an 04 motor.
