i got an old 66 f100, the body is in pretty good shape for a truck that has been sitting till 4 months ago. i got it running and put some work into it and now it runs smooth. but im in need of some cash now so i have to sell it . how much do you think i could sell the ol 66 for that isnt restored or anything its just in running condition and looks average???
Sad to see you have to give up your truck, but I think there are a lot of people out there who would see your truck as a good opportunity. The running part makes it so they can do a rolling restore, but they still get to do most of the pretty stuff themselves.
$1 - $1,000,000+. How can anyone even offer an idea of what it might be worth if they no nothing about your truck - motor, mileage, trans, brakes, paint, rust and where, interior. Post some pics with info. THAN its worth only what some one thinks its worth to them. I've seen stuff that people pay big $$$ for that I would never get near.
How much do you want for it? Is it a Mercury? How much do you have invested in it?
Start with what your hoping to get out of it, and what you would settle for.
As posted before $1-$1,000,000.00 site unseen. We can't see it, we know nothing about it, but yet you want a figure.
I won't give you much for it, but the next guy might. Let's see, it's running I'll give you $50.00
Your in Canada so you might get more, or less who know's.
How much did you pay for it?
For pricing look in your area, and hopefully at ones you can find pictures of. Ones that appear to be cherry, can be deceiving though. Everyone thinks their truck is cherry!!! Find a few that seem to be similar in condition to yours, and then price based on that. I am sure that my truck would not get as much money in the southwest as it would in the north central. The Southwest trucks don't know what rust is so they would frown on the little rust I have. In the North they would call my truck rust free, because it is not a rotted carcass. Also some areas like old trucks where others frown on us old steel collectors. That will also effect pricing. The best way to determine price is to shop your area, and base your price on comparable trucks.
