I have a 66 ford f 250 that was left to me by my dad who recently passed away. I have no plan on using this truck. I have been told this is a sought after year, I have been also told to plant some flowers in it and forget it! I know next to nothing about rigs so I was hoping for a kick in the right direction. Does a rig like this have any value or should I be calling the junk yard? It has always ran and dad used it around the farm. I just would like to see it be in the hands of someone who might want to restore it if folks do that to this type of rig. Mostly, its kinda blocking my view in the barnyard! Can anyone please give me some imput? I am cluless.
Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

yes, its worth something. maybe not much, but the 61 to 66 model truck is refered to as the Slick. the 65 and 66 are the most highly prized years, as they had an independant front suspension. Its hard to put a value on it without knowing its condition or your location, but at a wild guess, if you can go get in it right now and drive it 100 miles without fixing anythign first, it should be worth a base of $1000 as a running vehicle. But thats in texas, and in the city. Short beds are usualy worth a little more. The hotrod guys prefer them. but the long beds are the favorite of those who just need a cheap truck to haule something.
