P1211 Recurring

I am finding the P1211 code way too often. It is NOT setting the CEL...
It also doesn't show up on my Scangauge, either initial scan or pending codes...I find it and clear it with the Predator.....

My ICP is ~ 500 at idle; IPR duty 9-10%....

I'm thinking of taking it out this weekend and recording the readings at idle, WOT, various speeds cruising, different tunes....

What are "Normal" ranges?????

1211 code is ICP above or below desired pressure, thats normal with a programmer or chip. You either need a boost fooler or get your chip reburned with no codes.

I know what it means, just trying to figure out why this recent problem.... I've had Jody's chip since June 2008, and I've NEVER gotten the 1211 code before....

Thanks for the answer, tho.....

Give Jody a call it may just be a map sensor going south. BTW if you are getting 24lbs boost or higher that will set off the code.

You'll have to monitor ICP ad IPR during some WOT runs to see what the readings are. Might also be a good idea to check the ICP at an extended WOT run to see where it peaks and then drops off and levels out at.

If you've had the same tunes since 08 and never had the code before, and it's not setting a CEL, how often do you check for codes? Did you just start checking more recently, or perhaps catch it before it reset itself and cleared?

Chips and ICP codes tend to go hand in hand. Are you sure you didn't just miss the code before? Post back with the numbers you see during a good run. Perhaps you're lucky and you've identified an HPOP starting to get weak before it causes any real issues.

Very seldom that I get the boost up near 20.....Haven't done it since this started appearing a few weeks ago. I was on it pretty hard yesterday getting on the freeway, and the Scangauge identifies pending code....P1211.....No CEL..... I know there is a way to look at the data when the codes occured with the Scangauge. I'll read-up on it and see if I can figure anything out.

Keep tossing them over the plate; we'll hit one out soon!!!

I could try to video tape the readings on Scangauge and post it. I also have a program for the Predator where I can datalog the info.....

Did you just start checking more recently, or perhaps catch it before it reset itself and cleared? I've been checking for a couple months when I had a CEL and a P1690 code. I could clear it, but the code and CEL came back after a day or two. Replaced the WGC Solenoid; P1690 and CEL are gone....

I'll try to get to this today.....
Chris:
Thanks for the input! Tried to rep you, but....you know how that goes!!
